Food Processing, Cooking & Product Cooling/Heating Equipment
Our food processing and cooking range is built to operate in all food processing environments.
Steam Jacket Cooking Kettles

Our team at Inox can design and manufacture stainless steel cooking kettles from 250L to 2000L capacity. Our food equipment, beverage equipment and cooking kettles are primarily used for cooking and cooling liquids. Our team design the steam cooking kettles to work efficiently and effectively and typical design features include:
- Hemispherical shell built from SAF2205 for efficient and longevity using steam heating
- Use of 316 SS for food contact surfaces and 304 SS for non product contact surfaces Complies Pressure Vessel code AS1210
- Horizontal scraped surface agitator, ensuring even heat distribution which reduces burn on
- Industry grade toughened plastic scraper blades for withstanding high operating temperatures
- Self cleaning (CIP) scrapers, which are also easily detachable
- Food equipment industry standard mechanical seals for agitator
- Hinged top suitable for manual or automatic loading
Depending on your specification, our Inox design team take into consideration the cooking kettles’ application, heating method (i.e. steam or water) and thickness of stainless steel shell.
Ribbon Blenders
Inox ribbon blenders give uniformity and accurate mixing of all ingredients. Our Ribbon blenders can handle a wide range of materials:
- Granular
- Heavy density
- Plastics pigments
- Light dry fine powders
- Wet Products
Our ribbon blenders are constructed for rugged and heavy duty production. The tough construction is fully welded for maximum strength to meet sanitary requirements. All of our product surfaces are clean and smooth for sanitation purposes and minimal waste and are rounded to avoid material build-up which may cause contamination.
Inox ribbon blenders have a series of design options and accessories:
- Ribbon design for best mixing and product discharge – external/internal ribbons
- Various ribbon/paddle designs
- Available with built in Clean in Place (CIP) sprayball
- Stuffing box seal, lip seal or mechanical seal arrangement at both ends
- Sealed Hinged lids and product addition ports
- Easy operation and control
- 304 S/S or 316 S/S surface construction
- 120 Grit Polished or 180 Grit Polished
- Glass Bead finish
- Sizes and designs available from 100kg. to 8000kg
Instantisers
Inox instantisers use a specially designed impellor system with appropriate vessel shape for producing high level turbulence for optimum dissolving and dispersing of almost any food product in the food industry or beverage industry. Our instantiser food equipment features are:
- Capacities from 100L to 2000L
- Direct coupled motor drive or in a low line design with motor mounted to side of unit
- Heavy duty, removable impellor and mechanical shaft seal
Our instantisers can dissolve soluble products in less than 5 minutes for complete hydration, total liquidation and no burn-on, unlike conventional systems.
Demo (R&D) Instantisers- we have a high speed mixing Instantisers available for trial use of your product mixing requirements, a 150L model, is available for trailing or renting for short production runs. Contact us for more information on specifications and size.
Open Top – Bottom Drive Mixers
At Inox, we design and manufacture purpose built mixers such as a bottom drive heated mixer which is particularly suited for small batch, operator friendly applications in the food and allied industries. The mixer’s agitator drive is underneath, therefore improving operating space on top and providing room for additional design options (i.e. inspection panels, accessories, fittings …etc.). Our mixers have a number of useful features:
- Large opening on top for product addition
- Inspection port
- Fully removable top
- Bottom agitator drive
- Various agitator designs
- Heating coil or dimple plate heated
- Scraper blade mixing for best heat transfer
- CIP sprayball options
- On load cells or mobile design options
Cooling Tunnels
Inox water spray or refrigerated air cooling tunnels are available for cooling of plastic/glass containers or pouches. Cooling tunnels are also used as food processing equipment; built to withstand the harsh environment of the food processing industry . Our design features include:
- Specifically calculated water spray or refrigerated air volume for correct cooling
- Conveyor speed for correct level of cooling
- Recirculating water regulating for successful cooling
- Efficient water re-circulation and re-cooling for minimum water wastage
-
Cooling for any hot filled product being sorted into various containers, prior to labelling or final packaging Final air nozzles ensure the
products are free of water residual for labelling and packaging - Hygienic design and manufacture for proper drainage
Cooling tunnel design is determined after testing of your product has been undertaken at our facilities and heat loss curves are graphed and analysed by our engineers.
